Kaspersky: Spyware for Windows now targets Android, macOS

MOSCOW, Oct 19 (PRIME) -- A spyware program for Windows devices has adjusted to users of devices running on Android and macOS, Russian antivirus software maker Kaspersky said on Monday in a statement.

“Spyware program GravityRAT, which has been used for target cyberattacks at least since 2015, is now a multiplatform tool. This malware used to be exploited in cyber espionage campaigns aimed at Indian military and initially designed for Windows devices. Now we see new models targeting operating systems Android and masOS,” Kaspersky said.

The experts detected GravityRAT in the application for travelers in India.
